TRIP POLICIES
DAY TRIPS Full
payment is required at time of reservation. Telephone reservations will be held
for a period of 72
hours (3 days) only.
TRIP INSURANCE IS STRONGLY ADVISED ESPECIALLY FOR 3 DAY OR LONGER TRIPS.
IN ORDER TO COVER PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS IT MUST BE PURCHASE WITHIN 14 DAYS OF
MAKING THE DEPOSIT
The Center has web addresses and/or phone numbers for six travel insurance
companies.
REGISTRATION: Register
at the Center. Trips fill quickly and have firm deadlines, so don’t
delay. If everybody waits ‘til the last minute the trip will end up
being canceled! When we receive your deposit or registration fee, you will
receive a detailed trip itinerary.
CANCELLATION BY
PASSENGER: If the trip is through an outside tour group and because
we have to pay for the trip in advance, we can not give refunds if you should
have to cancel. It is strongly recommended that when booking extended trips,
in most cases, you should secure trip insurance for your own peace of mind.
If the trip is solely arranged by the Senior Center a
full refund will be issued
ONLY IF A REPLACEMENT IS FOUND. Replacements may be made from the Center’s
waiting list, if there is one. If there is no one on the waiting list the
passenger is responsible for finding a replacement. The Center does not
guarantee a replacement will be found.
CANCELLATION BY
CENTER: A full
refund will be issued.
The charter trips listed
below are open to the public of all ages. If you have interests regarding a trip
not listed, please contact Terri Riffle at the Center. Call the Center at
360-629-7403 for more information or reservations.
TIPPING: On motor
coach trips a tip will be collected for the driver. The
going rate is $4 to $10 dollars depending on length of trip and, of course,
service. You are
responsible for tipping at restaurants when eating on your own. On
extended trips, other
tips will be specified by trip.
DEPOSITS/FINAL PAYMENTS:
For one day trips full payment is due at time of registration.
Extended trips will have the payment schedule listed at the end of the tour
description, if we are using a tour company their policies will apply to
deposit, final payments and refunds, etc. Generally there is a deposit due
at time of registration and a deadline for payment in full.
Refunds are generally based on a decreasing percentage of the
cost of the trip based
on how far ahead of departure date the trip is canceled. We accept VISA and Mastercard.
PARKING: On day trips
please park away from the front of the building, have consideration for the
folks that will be coming and going for meals and classes, and who may be less
agile than you. Be aware that if you leave your vehicle overnight
the Center
can not be responsible.
Please make arrangements for your vehicle to be moved or for someone to bring
you to the Center.
THE DAY TRIPS ARE
PLANNED AROUND THE USE OF OUR VANS THAT SEAT 5 PEOPLE AND WE HAVE TWO VANS SO WE
CAN TAKE UP TO 10 PEOPLE. FOLKS ARE FINDING OUT THAT THEY NEED TO REGISTER
EARLY OR THEY WILL MISS OUT. AFTER 12 PEOPLE REGISTER I START A WAITING
LIST FOR THE NEXT SIZE AVAILABLE BUS AND WE NEED 36 PEOPLE TO RENT THIS BUS.

FAIR - BELLINGHAM
Celebrate
Scandinavian heritage with delightful dancing, music, food and vendors. Hosted
by Daughters of Norway Bellingham, Nellie Gerdrum Lodge #41 at the Hampton Inn,
Fox Hall in Bellingham. We will leave the center at 10:00 a.m. and leave around
2:00 p.m. Price includes admission and transportation to and from Bellingham. MEMBERS
$25.00 NON-MEMBERS $30.00.

DEC. 7 - VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS PUYALLUP
Each Patron will receive an old fashioned newspaper that will serve as their guide to A Victorian Country Christmas. Check out the opportunity to win incredible door prizes. See show times for entertainment and learn about strolling musicians such as the Evergreen Brass, Love Notes and The Christmas Belles. You can also see and locate any one of our 560 Christmas stores by name or one of our food vendors by looking at our easy to read maps in the center section of our newspaper. Don't forget a carriage or train ride between buildings and a package check in is available to make your experience easy and fun. Security is top notch at our event. US Marines will make sure that you feel safe as you enjoy this wonderful show. We also have the most beautiful Santa setting for breathtaking keepsake photos. Our lovely Santa and Mrs. Claus take time with your children and listen to the wishes of adults too. Make sure you put on your walking shoes and wear warm clothes! We will leave the center at 9:00 a.m. and return around 3:00 p.m. Members $31.00 Non-Members $36.00
DEC. 13 - CHRISTMAS
LIGHTS IN LEAVENWORTH, WA. Visitors
come back year after year for this famous Leavenworth festival. Everyone gathers
at the gazebo at dusk to greet Saint Nicholas. Enjoy roasting chestnuts, holiday
music from the gazebo holiday personalities stroll the street. At dusk (4:30)
everyone gathers to sing "Silent Night" and witness the lighting of
the village and park and they are transformed into a magic wonderland of lights.
We will leave the center at 10:00 a.m. on a luxury Bellair Bus with bathroom and
DVD player. We arrive in Leavenworth around noon. You will have 4 1/2 hours to
shop. We will leave promptly after the lighting. We shall stop on the way home
for dinner. Please make your reservations early! We need at least 20 people for
this trip.
