LEAP
is the acronym for
Life Enhancement Assistance Program. Programs offered through
LEAP
at
Stanwood Community & Senior Center are: - Low cost transportation to medical appointments.
- Light housekeeping services (Residents only at this time)
- Breakfast and dinner Monday through Friday for $3.00 each meal
The residents here at the Center have been utilizing the housekeeping service since July, 2010. Breakfast & Dinner service started one year ago and has been a very successful program. LEAP provides options to our 85 residents that will help enable them to remain independent. From January – May of this year the program has provided 36 medical appointment trips, 98 housekeeping services, 874 dinner meals and 452 breakfast meals. This program continues to meet the needs of our residents. Previously the medical transportation services were available exclusively to our residents but we are so excited about the success of LEAP, we would like to offer medical transportation to our members within the Stanwood/Camano area. Our drivers are trained and certified. We have a Lincoln Continental that accommodates walkers and wheelchairs. Appointment must be less than 2 hours (does not include travel time) and appointments must be made on designated days between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Housekeeping:
Housekeeping is a chore and a bore. Members of the Stanwood Community & Senior Center who are residents at either Lincoln Hill Apartments or Lincoln School Senior Apartments have the opportunity to have Leap services come in and get the job done at the low cost of $15.00 per hour.

Meals:
Another fantastic program offered to our members, is the meal program offered Monday - Friday. You can't beat the price, $3.00 ea. To participate in the LEAP Breakfast/Dinner program, just come to the business office at the Stanwood Community & Senior Center and tell one of our friendly staff that you would like to purchase a meal ticket. Meal Tickets are available in increments of 1, 3, 5, 10 or 15. It's a great deal!
Breakfast is served Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Dinner is served Monday - Friday from 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM
